| In the art of the Han Dynasty,the images of the Four Spirits and Beasts were widely used in various fields,becoming one of the main elements of artistic creation at that time.The four divine beasts are Qinglong,Baihu,Zhuque,and Xuanwu,representing four directions: east,west,south,and north.The purpose of studying the image of the Four Spirits of the Han Dynasty is to explore the value and significance of the Four Spirits of the Han Dynasty in the development of Chinese culture and art,interpret and reconstruct the elements of the image of the Four Spirits of the Han Dynasty,and further explore the application value of the image of the Four Spirits of the Han Dynasty in modern art.First of all,through the origin and development of the four spirits of the Han Dynasty,this article explores the artistic characteristics of the image of the four spirits of the Han Dynasty,mainly talking about the application and value of the image of the four spirits of the Han Dynasty in modern art.Secondly,an overview is provided from three aspects: the diversified aesthetic expression forms of the Han Dynasty’s Four Spirits,the development and extension of traditional techniques,and the inheritance of traditional and modern culture.It is not difficult to find that the diversified aesthetic expression forms reflect the extension and innovation of the image of the Four Spirits and Beasts themselves,the extension of traditional techniques and cultural inheritance,making the image of the Four Spirits and Beasts of the Han Dynasty still emit unique charm and burst out new vitality in the continuous evolution process.Finally,the author gained creative inspiration from the study of the images of the Four Spirits and Beasts in the Han Dynasty.Through practical experience,he deepened his understanding of traditional techniques and continuously attempted to use modern composite materials such as rock color to create the series of composite material works titled ’Four Spirits and Beasts’.With the increasing attention paid by the Chinese people to traditional Chinese culture,the Four Spirits and Beast Culture that has been passed down from the Han Dynasty to this day will have a global perspective,be inclusive,and constantly seek new forms of expression to explore broader artistic spaces.This study provides theoretical support and inspiration for the creation of the four deities and beasts of the Han Dynasty in modern art,promoting innovation and development of modern art while retaining its own historical significance and cultural charm. |
