As one of the subjects of“gift of body”category in Buddhism,(?)ibi J(?)taka is widely spread and the image material is abundant. There are two main narrative frames in the story:“Eagle and Pigeon”and“Gift of Eyes”.Comparatively speaking,in this article,“Eagle and Pigeon”shows more and spreads more widely. This article sorted out and studied 32 images of the King(?)ibi from India to the Western Regions of China and even Dunhuang, from the 2ndto the 10thcentury,mainly discussed the content, details, importance, expression, and flow of the image. In addition, this article also collected the relevant text of(?)ibi, conducted the comparative analysis between texts, and the comparative analysis between images and texts. The narrative of the King(?)ibi has been more widely spread by religion. In the process of dissemination and development, the content of the image has changed constantly.Taking the region as the menstrual and time as weft, according to the method of Iconology and Typology,we discussed the micro-changes of the image element and the macro-connection between the images.Overall, the image of(?)ibi undergoes a process from a complete plot to a symbolic and decorative image, the importance of images was generally reduced, and the style type showed the trend of Chinese style in Kizil and Dunhuang. There are a total of 18 texts collected in this article, among which the stories of“giving people with the eyes”include J(?)taka,J(?)takam(?)l(?),Cariy(?)pi(?)aka and Zhuanjibiyuan Sutra. There is a fusion of two narrative frames in the text, namely, the story of“cutting out the eyes and giving the eagle”.We can analyze the images of(?)ibi in Amar(?)vat(?),Gandh(?)ra,Mathur(?),Aja(?)(?)(?),Kizil and Dunhuang by comparing with texts, but we can’t neglect the independence of image development.
