Research On Qin’s Military Logistics From The Warring States Period To Qin’s Reunification

Logistics "belongs to the modern term.However,in ancient Chinese traditional literature,"reserve","transfer",and so on all belong to the modern logistics scope,mainly referring to the material support required by the military during the war process.Logistics plays a crucial role and status in warfare.During the period from the Warring States period to Qin’s unification,Qin transformed from a small country on the northwest border to a unified empire.The reason why it was able to eliminate the six countries and merge the world was closely related to military logistics in all previous wars.In response to the needs of long-term large-scale wars,Qin established an effective logistics support system.On the basis of drawing on previous research results,this paper is divided into three parts for discussion.The first part is the main content of Qin’s military logistics system from the Warring States period to the unification of Qin,which mainly includes six aspects: military funding,food,military horses,weapons,transportation,and military information transmission;The second part is the characteristics of Qin’s military logistics from the Warring States period to the unification of Qin.It is manifested as: firstly,standardizing the military logistics system,secondly,emphasizing logistics laws and regulations,and thirdly,emphasizing the construction of military logistics bases;The third part is the main role of Qin’s military logistics during the Warring States period to Qin’s unification.Firstly,it ensured the victory of the war,secondly,it enriched military logistics ideas,and thirdly,it promoted the development of military engineering technology.Therefore,the Qin military logistics support from the Warring States period to the Qin unification period showed a gradual improvement trend,which also promoted the development of ancient Chinese military logistics system.
