From the perspective of new historicism,literary and artistic creation has dispelled the grand narrative of "monism".History is no longer an objective fact,but an expression with personal preferences.The historicity of the text and the textual nature of the history are linked into intertextuality between history and text.In movies,history is depicted with images,and texts are created or criticized in combination with historical contexts.This article takes the first "Looking Back" film festival,"Looking Back 1933: A Red Journey in the Light and Shadow",as the research object.From the perspective of new historicism,starting from the era text,it analyzes the era discourse and cultural space construction and consumption in the film festival exhibition,explores the development direction of the "Looking Back" theme film exhibition in the new era,and provides favorable suggestions for its further development.This article consists of five chapters.The introduction mainly combs the background,purpose,significance,research methods,and current research status of the topic.The first chapter outlines the basic concepts,multiple values,and the specific content of the 1933 Film Festival Exhibition.The second chapter starts from the background of the film exhibition,traces back to the era background of the film text creation,and based on the current market situation and existing practice analysis,consolidates the cultural foundation of the film exhibition.The third chapter elaborates on the construction of era discourse in film exhibitions from the perspective of new historicism from three perspectives: discourse reshaping in history,current text interaction,and future continuous development.The fourth chapter studies the cultural space and consumption in the film festival exhibition,analyzes the construction of the material and spiritual cultural space of the film exhibition from the specific exhibition text and salon links,and summarizes and elaborates the social benefits generated in cultural production and consumption.The fifth chapter mainly summarizes and reflects on the experience of the "Looking Back at 1933" film festival exhibition,and puts forward suggestions on adjusting the exhibition planning concept according to local conditions,consolidating the cultural foundation based on historical perspectives,and ensuring smooth online and offline connectivity.
