The adaptation of Gan Opera script Women of Air Force Village into the novel A Handful of Green, which confessed Bai Xianyong,is an innovative attempt to integrate the artistic form of local operas with modern and contemporary literary themes. The script tells the story of a female student named Zhu Qing who bravely pursued love in Nanjing during the War of Resistance Against Japan and married Guo Zhen,an air force pilot. The cruel war not only deprived Guo Zhen of her life, turning Zhu Qing’s wedding night into an air force widow, but also destroyed her home, leaving her with no home to return and uncertain parents’ lives. The aim is to reveal the survival tragedy of women in the entire air force village through the love experience of the protagonist Zhu Qing, representing the tragic fate of women during the war.The interpretation of script creation is based on four aspects: creative motivation, script introduction, creative characteristics, and creative significance,to sort out and explain the creative process of the script "Women in Air Force Village",and summarize the gains and feelings from this creation.
