The Study Of Tea Inspection In The Early Period Of New China

Tea inspection system is an indispensable link in tea import and export trade,which relates to the quality of tea export products,and then relates to the word-of-mouth and sales volume of tea in the international market.Starting from the Republic of China,the government began to set up commodity inspection offices in the main tea export areas to improve the quality of exported tea and prohibit the export of fake and inferior tea.Wuhan(Hankou)Commodity Inspection Bureau is the second official commodity inspection institution in our country,in the early days of the founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China,the Chinese Communist Party took over Hankou’s virtually inactive commodity inspection bureau and renamed it Wuhan Commodity Inspection Bureau,which continued to be responsible for commodity inspection operations in the central and southern regions.The Wuhan Commodity Inspection Bureau would inspect the moisture,ash,packaging and other contents of exported tea according to the tea inspection standards of that year,and cooperated with commodity inspection authorities in other regions,to maintain and promote the tea trade in the central and southern regions.The Wuhan Commodity Inspection Bureau has often encountered many problems in the tea inspection process,for example,the tea shipped out by the manufacturer cannot meet the prescribed standards,some tea inspectors had dereliction of duty,and tea companies and tea factories in the work of disputes,etc.However,Wuhan Commodity Inspection Bureau has taken reasonable measures to deal with these problems and to ensure the implementation of tea inspection system.The tea inspection system implemented by Wuhan Commodity Inspection Bureau is of great historical and practical significance.First,the implementation of the tea inspection system saved the decline of the tea industry in the central and southern regions after the war,accelerated the revival of the regional economy,and ensured the completion of the improvement of tea production.Second,further promoted the new China early time tea trade’s restoration development,has improved our country economy economic development level.Third,the tea inspectors have compiled a large number of tea monographs in their work,recording the more advanced techniques and methods in the tea inspection work,and summarizing the gains and losses in the tea inspection work in the past,it provides some enlightenment and reference for the promotion and reform of modern tea industry.
