| As the new curriculum reform deepens,English teaching in the compulsory education stage has put more emphasis on the cultivation of the core quality of English discipline,and the implementation of the basic educational goal of moral education.The well-being of English study in junior high school students is an essential driving force for the cultivation of students’ English core quality,but in a real learning process,students are still shackled by the traditional exam-oriented education.In other words,in English teaching,the emphasis is placed on the ability of students to master the language,and emotional expression is neglected in English teaching,in this phase,middle school students is still faced with heavy academic pressure and mental burden.Therefore,it is urgent to solve the problem of how to improve students’ well-being in English learning with the help of state policies.Through the research of existing literature,the scholars on the content of the well-being of learning,influencing factors and measurement has been more mature research,however,the study also has some problems,such as the lack of a systematic and comprehensive theory,lack of relevant data support,etc.Based on the analysis of domestic and international study on learning well-being and its achievements,this study analyzed the connotation and composition of learning well-being and clarified the value pursuit of learning well-being.In addition,some of the 7th and 8th graders and English teachers from two secondary schools were chosen as the subjects.A Questionnaire on Learning Well-being and Cultivation Status of Junior High School Students was compiled.Questionnaire survey,interview and other methods are comprehensively used to investigate the cultivation of junior middle school students’ well-being in learning English,and the following problems are found in the cultivation of middle school students’ well-being in learning English: junior high school students’ well-being in English learning is at a medium-low level.From the aspect of well-being in English learning,the sense of hope is relatively high,the sense of pleasure is second,the sense of kindness is second,and the sense of immersion is lowest.Realizing the significance of English learning well-being to their English education,students have nonetheless exhibited a certain cognitive inclination towards it.Teachers’ evaluation is mainly based on students’ English achievement and language ability.The teaching organization form and method are single,and there is no effective communication between teachers and students.Teachers are the dominant factor in evaluation,and English achievement is the main criterion.There are two extremes in parents’ attitudes towards students’ English learning well-being.Therefore,parents still need to change their attitudes and behaviors.The results of the survey,combined with relevant theories and the unique value and meaning of English,have identified problems,five strategies are put forward: to improve students’ well-being of learning English by thematic teaching content,situational learning activities,diversified learning evaluation,harmonious teacher-student relationship,and good home-school cooperation. |
