Feng Jintang is a writer trained from workers, peasants and soldiers on the basis of mass cultural activities. His works and experiences have rich historical connotations, including political, cultural, practical and other factors. The study of Feng Jintang,a peasant writer, can not only understand the development of Henan literature in the 50 s and 70 s of the 20 th century, but also explore the mechanism of cultivating writers in the literary and art circles during this period. On the one hand, this article places his literary creation in the literary practice of "writing, workers, peasants and soldiers",and clarifies the historical origin of the various factors expressed in his creation. On the other hand,it tries to outline the influence of the mainstream form of "people’s literature and art" on Feng Jintang. It also specifically analyzes the guidance and assistance of literary journals, literary institutions, famous writers and other literary system factors to Feng Jintang, and discusses the significance and limits of the "seventeen-year" literary and artistic system in cultivating Feng Jintang. The paper is divided into four chapters. The introduction part mainly introduces the background, research status and research ideas. The first chapter provides an overview of Feng Jintang’s work between 1952 and1968.Although Feng Jintang’s creations closely follow current events, they also truly describe the changing rural life, and its thematic content can be roughly divided into three parts: first,to create an idealized image of "new women",in works such as "Remarriage","Heini Planting Cotton","Spring Flower","When Married" and other works have created a series of "new women" who love life, love labor and have communist spirit; The second is to write about the new peasants and rural grassroots cadres in the period of people’s communalization. In works such as "Double Leap Forward","An Old Hero in the Ironworks" and "Liu Xinggui",he created a new style of peasants who were diligent and thrifty, and loved the community like home, and these new peasants overcame the conservative thinking of the old peasants and became models in rural life.In works such as "Digging Ponds" and "Sand Barren Turns into Fertile Land",he has created active,down-to-earth and capable rural grassroots cadres, who are born as peasants and have both "peasant nature" and "party spirit",which have a great role in promoting rural construction; The third is to write the history of the people in the Huangpan region of their flight, revolution, and struggle."The Legend of Huangshui" truly records the difficult survival difficulties of the people in the Huangpan area. The second chapter mainly studies the relationship between Feng Jintang and the mainstream literary and artistic form of "people’s literature and art".The characteristics of oral transmission and popularization of "people’s literature and art" have profoundly influenced Feng Jintang’s writing, and his opera and opera art creations have been affirmed by mainstream literature and art.The initiative of "people’s literature and art" gave the "workers, peasants and soldiers" the right and ability to write, and this endowment was embodied in the literacy-learning cultural movement and the rural amateur theater troupe movement launched in the early years of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The literacy-learning cultural movement improved Feng Jintang’s cultural quality and ideological consciousness, and was the premise and foundation for Feng Jintang’s creative work. The rural amateur troupe made Feng Jintang gradually realize the characteristics of opera art works being welcomed by the masses and educating the masses,so that he always insisted on the creation of opera and opera art in the future. The third chapter focuses on the relationship between Feng Jintang and the "Seventeen Years" literary and artistic system. From the perspective of Feng Jintang’s literary path, institutional factors such as literary journals, literary institutions, and famous writers have played an important role in Feng Jintang’s growth.Henan Province’s literary and art journal "Turning Over Literature and Art" has always spared no effort to help him write.Editor Guo Li’s careful guidance has continued throughout Feng Jintang’s writing career.Mainstream newspapers and periodicals such as "Guangming Daily","Literature and Art News" and "People’s Daily" have played an important role in promoting Feng Jintang, making Feng Jintang more recognized and well-known in the literary and art circles.Literary institutions such as the China Writers Association and the Henan Provincial Federation of Literature and Culture attached great importance to the creation of workers, peasants and soldiers, and provided a lot of help for the collection and publication of Feng Jintang’s works.Famous writers such as Mao Dun,Zhao Shuli, and some writers from Henan Province guided Feng Jintang’s creation. The four chapter mainly explores the significance and limits of the "seventeen-year" literary and artistic system in cultivating Feng Jintang. From peasant to writer,Feng Jintang’s growth and change stemmed from the "17 years" literary and artistic system’s protection and support of the cultural rights of workers, peasants and soldiers. However, the excessive involvement of the literary and artistic system has also damaged the right of writers to write independently to a certain extent, and Feng Jintang’s creation is no longer the product of individualization. When the literary environment changed,Feng Jintang could no longer continue to create quality works. This paper compares the creative differences between Feng Jintang and Li Zhun and analyzes the role of the "Seventeen Years" literary and artistic style on Feng Jintang. |
