Family Function And Adolescent Depression : The Chain Mediating Effect Of Resilience And Loneliness

Objective: Depression is one of the common psychological problems in adolescence,and family is closely related to adolescent depression.This study explores the relationship between family function and adolescent depression,and on this basis,the two variables of resilience and loneliness are added to explore the specific mechanism of family function and adolescent depression,so as to provide theoretical and practical basis for reducing adolescent depression.Methods: A total of 2607 junior and senior high school students from four middle schools in Zhejiang and Anhui provinces were selected for data collection in the form of convenient sampling and online questionnaires.Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales,Resilience Scale Chinese Adolescent,UCLA Loneliness Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale were used for questionnaire survey.The family function,small contact,loneliness and depression of the subjects were investigated to verify whether there was a chain mediating effect between family function and adolescent depression.Results:1.Family function,resilience,loneliness and adolescent depression have significant differences in gender only in the support dimension of resilience;there are significant differences in intimacy,psychological resilience,personal strength,support,loneliness and depression among only children.There are significant differences in family function,intimacy,adaptability,psychological resilience,personal strength,support,loneliness and depression.There are significant differences in family function,intimacy,adaptability,psychological resilience,personal strength,support,loneliness and depression.2.Family function can positively predict psychological resilience,and negatively predict loneliness and depression.Psychological resilience can negatively predict loneliness and depression;loneliness can negatively predict depression.3.Resilience and loneliness can play a partial chain mediating role between family function and adolescent depression.Conclusion: Family function can not only have a direct impact on adolescent depression,but also have an indirect impact on adolescent depression through the chain mediation of psychological resilience and loneliness.
