| COVID-19 is a new type of infectious disease, which is defined by the World Health Organization as an "international emergency public health event".In December 2020,although the epidemic of COVID-19 was in a low incidence stage more than six months after the Chinese mainland, the occurrence and prevention of the epidemic of COVID-19,as well as the implementation of policies such as home studies, have caused certain difficulties to young people’s daily life, going back to school, going out,and so on.The COVID-19 epidemic broke out suddenly and spread quickly, while the conflicts between teenagers’ long-term home life and their parents gradually increased, resulting in adaptation problems among teenagers, and teenagers were prone to negative emotions such as anxiety, depression, and feel stressed and angry. Therefore,it is urgent to study the mental health level of adolescents during the COVID-19 epidemic. Most of the previous studies used horizontal research design to explore the current characteristics of depression and failed to take into account its dynamic development and changes,as well as the related influence mechanism. This study takes adolescents as samples to study the development trajectory of adolescent depression under the background of the COVID-19 epidemic and the predictive effect of parental conflict on the development of depression in this group. This has important reference value in understanding COVID-19’s influence on teenagers’ physical and mental health and intervention. This study is divided into three parts. In the first study,a follow-up study was conducted among 655 adolescents to explore the development trajectory of adolescent depression.the tracking time nodes were mid-March 2020(epidemic outbreak period,T1),late June 2020(low incidence stage,T2),and mid-December 2020(6 months after low incidence stage,T3).The second study investigated the effect of parental conflict on adolescent depression and the intermediary mechanism behind family support, the feeling of self-burden,and adolescent depression;study three conducted psychological intervention on adolescents with a high level of depression during the COVID-19 period. The results show that: 1.There was a bimodal effect in the detection rate of adolescent depression during the epidemic,in which the depression rate of T1(26.9%)and T3(29%)was higher than that of T2(21.9%).2.Parental conflict was positively correlated with adolescent depression during the COVID-19 epidemic.Family support and the feeling of self-burden are the mediating mechanisms between parental conflict and adolescent depression, that is,parental conflict affects adolescents by reducing family support and increasing self burdensome.3.Psychological intervention can significantly reduce teenagers’ sense of self burdensome and improve their mental health level. |
