A Study On The Modernity Of Qian Zhongwen’s Literary Theory

In the process of the transformation and development of contemporary literary theory in China,the issue of the modernity of literary theory has attracted widespread attention and discussion in the academic community,and has had a relatively broad impact.It has played an important role in promoting the innovative development of contemporary literary theory.The research on the modernity of Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory has undergone a relatively long process of theoretical exploration,with a strong theoretical consciousness.Since the new era,he has conducted a relatively systematic and in-depth study of this issue,which has a prominent position and influence in the contemporary literary theory circle.From the perspective of the overall situation of Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory research,his research on the modernity of literary theory is one of the main lines running through it.His review and summary of academic research in recent years have also highlighted such a main line and its importance.This article takes Qian Zhongwen’s research on the modernity of literary theory as the topic,and based on a comprehensive understanding of his research on literary theory,focuses on the key issue of literary theory modernity to explore.It specifically examines Qian Zhongwen’s research and exploration process based on this theoretical issue,as well as his in-depth interpretation of this important theoretical proposition,The internal relationship between his research on the modernity of literary theory and the research on other literary theory propositions,the reflection and re discussion of the modernity of literary theory in the perspective of contemporary Chinese path to modernization,and his enlightenment on the research on the modernity of literary theory.The paper is divided into four parts to explore.The first chapter briefly traces the history and academic achievements of Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory research,focusing on his research exploration focusing on the modernity of literary theory.After returning from studying in the Soviet Union,Qian Zhongwen mainly engaged in basic literary theory research,and had a relatively in-depth understanding and reflection on realistic literary theory.After entering the new era of reform and opening up,he advanced from basic literary theory research to focusing on the development of modernist literature and literary trends,and moved towards exploring contemporary literary theory issues from a modern perspective.This concept and research approach of modern literary theory have been embodied in his research on literary theoretical issues such as aesthetic ideology and new rational spirit literature,forming an academic exploration with the modernity of literary theory as the main line,and continuously extending and expanding in his subsequent research on literary theory,which has had a relatively important impact.The second chapter mainly discusses Qian Zhongwen’s proposition of literary theory modernity and its theoretical interpretation.On the basis of discussing contemporary literary theory from the perspective of modernity in the previous stage,Qian Zhongwen successively published research results on the modernity of literary theory in the late 1990 s,providing a systematic theoretical explanation of this theoretical proposition.He first explored the theoretical origin and significance of "modernity",introduced it into the study of literary theory,and proposed a theoretical proposition of "modernity of literary theory" for systematic elaboration.He believes that the modernity of literary theory is mainly manifested in the scientization of literary theory itself,with literary theory moving towards autonomy and self-discipline,embodied in a modern aesthetic consciousness,as well as the diversification of literary theory concepts and methods,making literary theory open,pluralistic,and dialogic.The modernity of literary theory is constantly constructed,and the practical basis for its theoretical construction lies in the combination of the concept of modernity with the development requirements of contemporary literature,the combination of borrowing foreign resources and the modern transformation of traditional literary theory,etc.His theoretical interpretation of the modernity proposition of literary theory embodies an open theoretical perspective and the spirit of innovative exploration.The third chapter mainly discusses the internal relationship between Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory modernity and other literary theoretical propositions.In the study of Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory,he has successively proposed a series of important literary theoretical propositions,such as the theory of aesthetic ideology,the theory of new rational spiritual literature,and the theory of communication and dialogue,which have had a significant impact in the contemporary literary theory circle.In the research and interpretation of these important literary theoretical propositions,the ideological concepts of modernity in literary theory are inherently included and permeated.The theoretical interpretation of aesthetic ideology reflects a modern character,the theoretical interpretation of new rational spiritual literature reflects a modern characteristic,and the theoretical interpretation of communicative dialogue theory reflects a modern way of thinking.Looking at his theoretical interpretation of other literary theoretical propositions from the perspective of literary theory modernity can provide a deeper understanding of the internal theoretical logic of Qian Zhongwen’s literary theory research.The fourth chapter mainly comments on the re discussion of the modernity of Chinese literature theory from the perspective of Chinese path to modernization in the recent period.In the recent period,China’s theoretical circle has carried out extensive and in-depth discussions around the proposition of Chinese path to modernization.Under this background and in the theoretical horizon,the discussion of the discourse construction of contemporary literary theory has also been advancing,and the re discussion of the modernity of literary theory is directly related to this.Qian Zhongwen’s research on the modernity of literary theory has been advancing synchronously with the development of Chinese path to modernization since the reform and opening up.His review and summary of literary theory research in recent years highlight his intention to reflect on and further explore the modernity of literary theory from the perspective of Chinese path to modernization.On this basis,the contemporary literary theorists in China have further explored the modernity of literary theory and elaborated some new theoretical insights.In general,in the innovative development process of contemporary literary theory in China,Qian Zhongwen’s research on the modernity of literary theory,as well as a series of closely related important literary theory issues,has achieved important theoretical achievements and made relatively prominent theoretical contributions,which still has certain theoretical significance.
