The outbreak and normalization of the new crown epidemic has brought more pressure to the already extremely tight labor market,and the expansion of universities in the past 20 years has increased the number of college graduates in China year by year,making the employment competition increasingly fierce.Currently,college graduates are facing double pressure,and the employment of college students has now become a topic of great public concern,and how to improve the employment performance of college students is an urgent issue.Therefore,this study investigates the influence of career adaptability on employment performance of fresh college graduates from the perspective of human resources through literature review and questionnaire survey.In this study,we administered the Career Adaptability Scale,the Perceived Employability Scale,the Employment Performance Scale,and the Parental Specific Career Behavior Scale to 620 fresh undergraduate graduates of economics and management in Henan,China,and conducted regression analysis and modeling on four variables: career adaptability,perceived employability,employment performance,and parental specific career behavior.The following conclusions were drawn.(1)Career adaptability and four dimensions(career concern,career control,career curiosity,and career confidence)have significant positive predictive effects on Employment performance and two dimensions(process performance and outcome performance).(2)Perceived employability partially mediates the relationship between Career adaptability and Employment performance.(3)Career-specific Parental Behaviors play a moderating role in the effect of Career adaptability on Employment performance.Finally,by analyzing and summarizing the findings,this paper puts forward some rationalization suggestions from both individual and parental levels.For example,at the individual level,the perceived level of employability can be improved by focusing on the cultivation of employability and accumulation of practical experience,and clear and rational self-orientation,while at the parental level,the positive career-specific behaviors of parents can be promoted by updating their employment concepts and building a family career support system.
