Nan Yue Bi Ji is a Qing Dynasty notebook novel written by Li Diaoyuan,one of the "Three Talents in Sichuan in the Qing Dynasty".The book has 16 volumes in total and records south of the Five Ridges dialect slang,natural geographical resources,cultural customs and other aspects in the form of several items.The content is scattered.Although some of the authors explain it,it still focuses on objective narration.The first volume is particularly rich,reflecting the colorful social and cultural features of the local Han and ethnic minorities,and providing first-hand materials for the study of Chinese history.The main body of this paper is divided into four parts,its structure and main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the research on the word-formation of the noun in the Nan Yue Bi Ji.It lists the distinctive morphemes in the book based on the division of simple words and compound words,among which the derivative compound words can best reflect the characteristics of south of the Five Ridges dialect.The second chapter is about the classification of the noun in the Nan Yue Bi Ji.The name words are divided into natural geography,food,clothing,housing and transportation,incense,person,measurement,folk customs,and disease and medicine,while the words with unclear boundaries or relatively small proportion are uniformly classified into other categories.This section focuses on selecting a large number of popular and rare words for textual research and interpretation of form,sound,or meaning,digging out many dialect words,and restoring some of the words roughly recorded by the author at that time according to the pronunciation.The third chapter is about the naming research in the Nan Yue Bi Ji.The naming traces of many noun in the Nan Yue Bi Ji are not obvious,and there are also cases of naming the same thing repeatedly or naming different things the same.According to this,this chapter is divided into two parts: naming motivation and the relationship between name and reality.The fourth chapter is about the cultural connotation of the noun in Nan Yue Bi Ji.The book mainly describes the characteristics of customs or the life of ethnic minorities,and then produces the names with cultural significance.From the perspective of cultural linguistics,this chapter explores the cultural connotation of local singing and dancing entertainment,place names,beliefs and customs,and production and life.
