A company’s work environment, employees’ feelings and work performance, all these are important factors in the development of the company.Job performance is particularly critical.Whether the group performance or individual performance, the higher the job performance, the more it can help the company to achieve its own values and goals, and the more it can contribute to the company’s competitive position and overall success.Research has found that workplace exclusion often leads to negative emotional and behavioral problems in employees, and thus undermines job performance.Studies have also proved that emotional regulation can change people’s subjective experience, emotional behavior and physiological indicators. Therefore, this study focuses on workplace exculsion which has a negative impact on job performance,to study whether different emotional regulation strategies can affect the emotional regulation of employees and thus affect their work performance, and explore whether emotional regulation strategy training can effectively improve employees’ work performance.Study 1,the use of emotion regulation strategies in reality was investigated in the form of questionnaires, and the emotion regulation process model was verified through date analysis. The results show that cognitive reappraisal strategy plays an intermediary role in workplace exculsion and job performance, and expression suppression strategies play a moderating role.Study 2 focused on investigating whether cognitive-emotional learning training can effectively change the effect of workplace rejection on employees’ job performance when individuals face workplace rejection. We recruited a total of 73 participants, including 29 in the experimental group and 44 in the control group, through two weeks of learning training, the results showed that: the work performance score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. It indicates that cognitive-emotional therapy training not only improved individuals’ job performance, but also improved their emotion regulation skills.Study 3,the qualitative research method and semi-structured interview were adopted to dig deeply into the inner feelings of the subjects when they were exclude form the workplace, understand the reasons for this phenomenon and the influence of the intervention training in this study on them.By analyzing the interview date and combining with the theory of resource preservation,we found that individuals who suffer from exclusion actively take measures to adjust themselves and minimize the consumption of their limited cognitive resources, thereby improving their ability to withstand pressure to cope with the exclusion they suffer. In this paper, through three experimental studies, the cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays an effective role in workplace exclusion, and whether cognitive emotion training can play an effective role, the results show that:(1)cognitive reappraisal strategy plays an effective mediating role in the emotional regulation strategy when encountering workplace exclusion;(2)expression inhibition strategy plays a regulatory role in workplace exclusion;(3)cognitive emotion training can play an effective regulatory role, and cognitive emotion regulation training learning can effectively help the excluded in the face of workplace exclusion. |
