College is a critical period for personal development,physical and mental growth,knowledge reserve,and health literacy cultivation,but the uncertainty,instability and multiple pressures of life make college students more likely to suffer from psychological problems.The lack of a sense of meaning in life is a risk factor affecting the mental health of college students.This study aims to fetch the comprehensive effect of intervention research on college students’ sense of meaning in life in China,and further explore new ideas for intervention program preparation,taking college students in a university in Yunnan as an example to examine the effectiveness of intervention programs.Study 1: The comprehensive effect size of the intervention study on the sense of meaning of life in college students in China was obtained by meta-analysis,and the intervention with the best intervention effect was extracted as a reference to formulate the first draft of the intervention plan of this study.The results showed that the comprehensive effect g of the intervention of college students’ sense of meaning of life was 0.51,the comprehensive effect of the group auxiliary intervention was 0.87,and the comprehensive effect of other interventions was 0.39.Finally,the intervention method of this study was selected,and after summarizing and refining the interventions included in the literature,the intervention plan of group support was preliminarily formulated based on the hierarchical model of the sense of meaning of life.Study 2 invited experts and peers to discuss the first draft of the plan,and revised the intervention plan after collating the opinions and suggestions collected.Study 3used the intervention protocol prepared by Study 2 to intervene the participants,and tested the effect of the intervention by measurement and interview.This study concludes the following:(1)At present,the intervention effect of college students’ sense of meaning in life in China is at a medium level,and the effect of group auxiliary intervention is better than other intervention methods;(2)The intervention focus of the sense of meaning of life should be on the individual’s cognition of the meaning of life,and the clarification of the concept of meaning of life can promote the individual’s exploration and thinking of the meaning of life,so as to enhance the individual’s sense of meaning of life;(3)The group counseling intervention program developed in this study can effectively improve the sense of meaning of life of college students and has a sustainable effect. |
