The research intends to investigate the situation of life meaning of higher vocational students, college students and secondary specialized school students, to study the demographic characteristics of these three groups.Based on the comparative study towards the life meaning of these three groups, the author tries to study the efficiency of group-interfering scheme with the help of existentialism therapy.The life goal profile scale revised by Song Qiurong was used as assessment tool to investigate 553 students as test samples from Yunnan Normal University,Yunnan Land and Resource Vocational College and Yunnan Finance and Economics Secondary Specialized School.And then 30 homogeneity students were randomly divided into experimental group and control group obtained on the pre- test and post scales. The students of the experimental group were given a 90-minute group consulting once a week.The control group did not accept any experimental treatment.It is to assess if there were significant differences between the two groups.According to the scientific study, it is easy to come to the following five conclusions:(1)The seniors in the higher vocational school have the best sense of life meaning.In contrast,the lowest were sophomores.(2)Among the four grade students in the collage, freshmen were the highest and juniors were the lowest.(3) In the secondary specialized school, the sophomores had the highest sense of life meaning,and the seniors were the lowest.(4)Among these three group students, the college students are in the highest level of the sense of life meaning,followed by the higher vocational students.And the students in secondary specialized school were the lowest.(5)According to the experiment,there were significant differences between these two groups as for their pre-test and post test.Hence, it is easy to conclude that existential therapy group counseling had great efficiency for improving the sense of life meaning of the higher vocational students.Finally,based on the above study result,the author intends to provide some suggestions for improving the sense of life meaning of higher vocational students.
