Contextual Teaching Method refers to the teaching method in which the teacher purposely introduces or creates vivid and concrete scenes with certain emotional colors and images for the learners,so as to induce certain emotional experiences for the learners,thus helping them to understand the content of the text and developing their mental functions.In online one-to-one classes,the lack of the target language context makes foreign Chinese learners’ interest in learning decline.Based on this,this paper will study the application of Contextual Teaching Method in International Chinese Language Education online one-to-one classroom through classroom observation method,induction method,questionnaire survey method and case study method.The feasibility and applicability of this teaching method will be analyzed through questionnaire survey method,which will lay the foundation for contextualization later on.Then,we analyzed the application effect of the Contextual Teaching Method with the help of classroom observation method,inductive summary method and case study method.Finally,the results of the pre-test,mid-test and post-test were used to examine the changes in the learning ability of a Thai zero-basic Chinese learner.After the teaching practice and the test situation in the pre,intermediate and post periods,it can be found that: the Contextual Teaching Method resonates with the learners’ emotions and psychology by creating an environment and atmosphere that is consistent with the learners’ overall development,and making the optimized environment resonate with the learners’ emotions and psychology.Not only that,the teaching method can help learners focus their attention,prompt learners to obtain active development in the unity and harmony of the interaction of real environment and subject activities,promote the improvement of learners’ cognitive ability,and acquire knowledge of HSK1 step by step.
