In recent years, the aging of the population has brought a series of pension problems to the society, and hospice care has become a topic of concern to all sectors of society. Therefore, hospice care documentaries came into being, which spread the information, knowledge and ideas of hospice care to the public through real records of patients’ lives and creative processing of images, and have a strong function of popular science education. However, the quality of creation is uneven, and the academic research on hospice documentary is not comprehensive enough.Under this background, studying the role orientation and function analysis of the host of hospice documentary can provide ideas for the comprehensive expansion of its theoretical research, expand the host’s communication theory in the field of documentary, and help the creative practice of related documentaries. In this paper, the host of hospice care documentaries is taken as the research object, and a total of 51 documentaries with related topics at home and abroad are selected as the research samples.By using the research methods of case analysis, literature sorting and comparative analysis, the author comprehensively discusses the role and function of the host in hospice care documentaries by integrating the knowledge of film and television art, communication and sociology.First of all,by comparing the differences in the creation modes of hospice care documentaries at home and abroad,it is found that domestic documentaries on related topics focus on the elaboration and observation mode, and the participation mode is insufficient, and the role function of the host is not fully utilized.Secondly,it is proposed that the host should build media awareness in the hospice documentary, and assume the role of disseminator of professional knowledge, coordinator of rational knowledge and promoter of story narration. Finally, the author puts forward some suggestions and prospects for the scientific training of presenters,so as to provide some thinking and reference for future presenters to give full play to their own value in hospice care documentaries. |
