| Language attitude is the value response of language users to different language emotions,cognition and behavior.It is dynamic,constructive and insidious,and is a predictive indicator of language use and development.In bilingual and multilingual societies,the study of language attitudes is particularly important for the education and development of a certain language.Based on the language attitude theory of Gardner&Lambert,this study takes 141 international students from three universities in Tongren,Guizhou Province as the research objects,and adopts the research methods of questionnaire survey,paired language change test and interview to study the language attitude of international students when learning Chinese in the network learning environment:(1)The status quo of international students’ attitude towards Chinese language;(2)The correlation between international students’ attitudes towards Chinese language and their background factors;(3)The differences of Chinese language attitudes of different learning groups:(4)the influencing factors of international students’ Chinese language attitudes.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Under the network learning environment,international students show a good attitude towards Chinese language,and their overall impression and evaluation of Chinese are positive.Through comparison,it is known that among the three aspects of international students’ attitude towards Chinese language,emotion occupies the most important position,followed by behavior and emotion.In the paired mutational test,international students from Laos had a more positive attitude towards Chinese language than international students from Cambodia.(2)There is a positive correlation among the three dimensions of cognition,emotion and behavior of international students,among which the correlation between cognition and behavior is the highest.There are negative correlations between cognitive attitude and affective attitude of Chinese students,and positive correlations between gender,Chinese learning time,HSK test,and Chinese learning experience.There is a negative correlation between Chinese behavior attitude and educational background,and a positive correlation between Chinese learning time,whether to participate in HSK test,and whether to have Chinese learning experience.(3)There are significant differences in international students’ attitudes towards Chinese language in terms of gender,whether they have participated in HSK test,whether they have studied in China,and how long they have studied Chinese,while there are no significant differences in terms of nationality and educational level.(4)Among the influencing factors of international students’ attitude towards Chinese language,there are six main influencing factors.Therefore,the factors affecting international students’ attitude towards Chinese language mainly include Chinese learning behavior,Chinese language awareness,Chinese evaluation emotion,Chinese self-cognition,Chinese status cognition,and Chinese usage behavior.This study mainly investigates the Chinese language attitude of international students under the network learning environment,and proposes some teaching suggestions on how to improve the Chinese language attitude of international students,in order to provide some teaching inspiration for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language and promote the effective implementation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,this study helps to make the majority of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language realize the importance of improving the attitude of international students to promote the Chinese learning of international students,so as to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching. |
