The Study On The Free And Comprehensive Development Of The Human Being In The Age Of Artificial Intelligence

Since in capitalist society man becomes a certain kind of person defined by external compulsion,Marx made the full and free development of each person the basic principle of a communist society.This does not mean that every person must become fully developed and all-powerful in all respects,but that every person is free to develop himself according to his own will.In making this stipulation,Marx was already well aware of the inherent contradiction between the free and full development of man and labour: on the one hand,the free and full development of man is expressed in the freedom to labour;on the other hand,man must engage in materially productive labour in order to produce the abundant material goods that guarantee his free and full development,thus giving rise to the logical paradox that free men must labour.Marx’s solution to this is to make labour the first need of people’s lives,so that the compulsory labour becomes an intrinsic need of people’s consciousness and volition,thus realising the logical rounding of the theory of the free and comprehensive development of man.This vision of genius was an important theoretical contribution that Marx could make in his time,but it was inevitably idealistic.For not all forms of labour can be the first need of all human beings,especially heavy materially productive labour.The current rapid development of artificial intelligence has become an irreversible trend of the times,not only highlighting the trend towards the dissolution of the logical paradox that free people must labour,but also providing a new situation for the free and comprehensive development of man.As artificial intelligence increasingly replaces human labour,it is bound to gradually achieve the emancipation of human labour,continuously enhance human capabilities,expand the time and space for the free and comprehensive development of human beings,gradually accelerate the dissolution of the logic of capital,and strongly contribute to the free and comprehensive development of human beings;however,it is also bound to gradually lead to large-scale social unemployment,giving rise to the "useless class" and the"digital poor"."This will lead to the strengthening of the rule of capital for a certain period of time,which will in turn lead to a crisis of subjectivity and,to a certain extent,hinder the free and comprehensive development of human beings in the age of artificial intelligence.Marx once envisaged that the bourgeois rule must be overthrown,a proletarian regime established,every effort made to promote the rapid development of the productive forces,the elimination of private ownership,and the eventual realisation of communism,the emancipation of labour and the free and comprehensive development of man.This view is still an important guide to the free and comprehensive development of man in the age of artificial intelligence.Under the guidance of Marxism and in the light of the new circumstances of the times,a new way forward for the free and comprehensive development of man in the age of artificial intelligence can be foreseen.In other words,the sovereignty of the people should be truly established,the state should lead the healthy development of AI,a modern digital intelligence state should be built,the dissolution of the logic of capital should be promoted,and efforts should be made to enhance the subjectivity of human beings and to promote the improvement of their abilities and the development of their personalities.
