| The peer relationship of adolescents is very important for their social development.The friendship quality of middle school students is the most important social development content at this age.It is of great significance to study the demographic characteristics,influencing factors and ways of friendship quality at this stage.In combination with the attention paid to family education in recent years,this study will explore the influence of family on individual friendship quality.In study 1 and Study 2,questionnaire survey was adopted with students from four middle schools in Sichuan and Henan as subjects,the revised EMBU,Friendship Quality Questionnaire and Basic Empathy Scale were tested,the SPSS24.0 and Amos24.0 software were used for independent sample T test,correlation analysis,equation fitting and mediation effect analysis.In study 3,a middle school student with anxiety due to the quality of friendship was subjected to the client-centered therapy.A descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on the status quo of friendship quality of a pair of middle school students,and differences were tested in demographic characteristics such as gender,place of residence,staying behind or not,and schooling period.The results showed that there were differences in demographic characteristics,and the specific results were as follows:(1)The overall level of friendship quality of middle school students is in a low position.(2)There are demographic differences: Girls are higher than boys in all dimensions and total scores.The scores of help and guidance,conflict resolution,validation and caring,companionship and recreation,and friendship quality of urban middle school students are higher than those of township middle school students.Nonleft-behind middle school students scored higher than left-behind middle school students in conflict resolution,validation and caring,companionship and recreation,and friendship quality.The scores of help and guidance,conflict resolution,companionship and recreation and friendship quality of junior high school students are significantly higher than those of senior high school students,but the scores of conflict and betrayal,intimate exchange are lower than those of senior high school students.There are statistical differences in the scores of validation and caring,companionship and recreation,intimate exchange,and friendship quality.The scores of validation and caring,companionship and recreation,intimate exchange,and friendship quality of middle school students who are class cadres are significantly higher than those of middle school students who are not class cadres.The quality of friendship of middle school students varies with their parents’ occupations.Compared with farmers,the score of friendship quality of middle school students whose parents are self-employed is higher.Study 2 examined and analyzed the relationship between the three variables of friendship quality,empathy and parenting style of middle school students,and the results showed that the three variables were pin-wise correlated,and empathy played a partial mediating role in the relationship between parenting style and friendship quality.The specific results were as follows:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between the total score of friendship quality and the total score of empathy,that is,the higher the level of empathy,the better the friendship quality.(2)Parents’ emotional temperature,understanding,father’s overprotection and friendship quality have significant positive correlation;There is a significant negative correlation between father’s and mother’s punishment and harshness,and father’s and mother’s rejection and denial.(3)Paternal and maternal emotional temperature,understanding,and paternal overprotection were positively correlated with the total score of empathy;Paternal and maternal punishment and harshness and paternal and maternal rejection and denial were negatively correlated with the total score of empathy.(4)The level of empathy of middle school students partially mediates the relationship between mother’s parenting style and friendship quality;At the same time,there is a partial mediating effect on the relationship between parenting style and friendship quality.The study 3 show that individual psychological counseling can effectively improve the empathy ability of middle school students,promote individuals to solve interpersonal problems through their own strength and resources,and develop social functions.In conclusion,empathy plays a partial mediating role in the influence of parenting style on friendship quality of middle school students.Individual psychological intervention can improve the empathy ability and friendship quality of middle school students. |
