Responsibility is an important personality, as an important part of moral, it is an important content of school moral education and social ethics, which is play a very important role to the health of individual growth.This study selects parenting styles and empathy as the independent variables which influence responsibility.by using the parenting style questionnaire, the middle school students responsibility scale and basic empathy scale (BES) as the research tool of552junior middle school students conducted a questionnaire survey.From the study we can learn about the status of the development in parenting styles,empathy and the sense of responsibility of junior high school students and analyze the relationship among the three variables. The results shows that:l.The responsibility of gender differences in junior high school students is significantly, girls responsible score is significantly higher than boys; Students from different regions, there was no significant difference between the level of the sense of responsibility; The score of the sense of responsibility has significant grade differences in junior high school students.2.Empathy ability of gender differences in junior high school students is significantly, the girl’s empathy is significantly higher than boys, especially emotional empathy; There was no significant difference between empathy in different regions;Empathy ability of junior high school students at all grades difference was not significant.3.Junior high school students of responsibility associated with parenting way significantly, of which the encouraged trust, emotional warmth parenting style and sense of responsibility is significantly positively related to various factors; Authoritarian, spoiling and ignore parents that their parenting ways and the sense of responsibility and each factor is significantly negative correlation.4. Empathy related significantly with parenting way in junior high school students, among them, the authoritarian, spoiling and ignore parenting ways is significant negative correlation with empathy and each dimension; Trust encouragement and emotional warmth parenting ways is significant positive correlation with empathy and each dimension.5.The total scores of responsibility and each factor is significant positive correlation with empathy and each dimension.6.Between encouraged trust and emotional warmth parenting and the sense of responsibility,empathy has partial mediating effect.
