Arif Dirlik is a left-wing thinker in contemporary America, his Turkish identity and revolutionary historical research on China make him always maintain a high degree of vigilance in the face of the cultural trend of the global capitalist era.He has insight the powerful seduction of the theoretical term post-colonialism in the origin of value, which dilutes the class position with the value orientation of dismantling the center and emphasizing the mixture, implicitly conforms to the cultural logic of transnational capitalist expansion, and shows a post-revolutionary atmosphere,so post-colonialism is actually a copy of the thinking mode of postmodern theory in the third world. This research is divided into four parts, the first part explores the ideological sources of Dirlik’s Marxist post-colonial criticism, and analyzes Dirlik’s inheritance and breakthrough of Althusser,Jameson,Mohammed and others. The second part explores Dirlik’s analysis of post-colonial thought based on the Marxist interpretation mechanism, arguing that there is a logic behind it that rejects revolution,so Dirlik reconstructs the legitimacy of revolution by salvaging practical philosophy. The third part analyzes Dirlik’s reconstruction of the logic of revolution, and in response to the speculative component of the "cultural revolution" proposed by Western Marxism,Dirlik attempts to reinterpret the concept of "cultural revolution" and connect it with metaphysical reality. The fourth chapter explores the confrontation between Dirlik’s Marxist post-colonial criticism and the Chinese question, the first of which deals with the mutation of Dirlik’s application of post-revolutionary theory to China as a veteran expert on China,Dirlik sees the Confucian revival in China as a new representation of Orientalist discourse, and the traditional culture in revolutionary historical novels since the new period, indicates that that the revival of Confucianism is related to a shift of understanding of Chinese modernity in the first half of the 20th century from cultural firgures, and in the second section, comparing "anti-modernity modernity" In Dirlik’s system of thought and the different faces of China’s New Left discourse,we explore the problem consciousness of the same statement in different cultural contexts.
