| The Third Generation Poets explored the basic rules of their poetry creation from the aspects of theme,rhetorical devices,and language,and constructed the poetics of daily life of the Third Generation Poetry.The generation and development of the Third Generation Poetry was in the context of postmodernism,so it has postmodern characteristics such as counterculture,anti-tradition,fragmentation,and complanation.The Third Generation Poets rebelled against obscure poetry,tried to overthrow the grand discursive writing of traditional poetry,insisted on the "break" between poetry creation and "the big me",and carried out the narrative of daily life.They come close to daily life as outsiders,refuse to sing the praises of heroes and great men,talk about the daily life of small people,and pay attention to the present and transitive daily life.In addition,they care about human nature,take the expression of people’s subconscious seriously,and show solicitude for people’s anxiety such as boredom,loneliness and fear of death.Similarly,starting from rejecting the rhetorical system of traditional poetry,the Third Generation Poets construct a rhetorical system of the Third Generation Poetry.They set up absurd character images and storylines in their poetry creation,and express the absurdity of the modern daily life world with exaggerated expressions and mysterious dreams,which can help them explore the daily living situation of modern people alienated by money and reveal a mocking attitude towards social alienation.Besides,the Third Generation Poets use irony to make deeper mockery of the alienation of the human living environment.They use ugly irony,parody irony,and self-blasphemous irony to ridicule the sublime and sacredness of traditional poetry.And the depth of irony is the objective reflection on the state of human existence.In addition,they also use the technique of "zero degree lyricism" to reflect more calmly on the daily life of human beings.And they show the essence of people’s daily life through the dialogue narration of drama,the narrative of bystanders and the way of "view things with things".The philosophies of everyday life in the Third Generation Poetry are not expressed by sophisticated and exquisite language.Starting from confronting with the grandiose discourse of traditional poetry,the Third Generation Poets draw on a language that matches the narrative of daily life: "daily spoken Chinese".Based on the reference to daily spoken Chinese,they put forward poetry propositions such as "poetry ends with language","poetry begins with language" and "rejection of metaphor".And they improve the language system of the Third Generation Poetry through the poetization of daily spoken Chinese,the construction of daily imagery and the display of language sense of life,which also can help them promote the isomorphism of poetic language and life,and propel the return of poetry to the language ontology,so as to construct the daily language of the Third Generation Poetry.In addition,what should draw the attention of poets and researchers is that the daily life poetics of the Third Generation Poetry have extreme problems in the practice of poetry creation,such as the vulgarization of poetic content,the excessive defamiliarization of poetic language,and the gamification of language form. |
