Research On Shen Yue's Five-character Poem

Shen Yue was a famous poet in the Southern Dynasty.He was born in the 18 th year of the Yuan Jia period.He had a high reputation when he entered the Qi and Liang Dynasties.His literary opinions had great influence in the period of Qi and Liang,and could effectively drive the change of poetry.His theory of "Four tones and eight diseases" also started the process of the regularity of five-character poems,which laid the foundation for the regularity of poems.Based on the historical background and literary creation of the period of Qi and Liang,this paper makes a detailed exploration of the literature problems,poetics theory,creation subject,artistic style and creation influence of Shen Yue’s five-character poems,and then reveals the artistic achievements and historical contributions of his five-character poems.The first chapter of this paper discusses the literature related to Shen Yue’s fivecharacter poems.The main purpose of this paper is to understand the edition of the poems,and analyze the authenticity of the existing poems and the creation time.This paper examines the selection and record of Shen Yue’s five-character poems in the literature of the past dynasties to clear up the obstacles in the literature for the next five-character poetry research.The second chapter studies Shen Yue’s theory of five character poetry,including Shen Yue’s theory of "high and low change",his criticism of "articles should be common",and his view of "emotion and content".Then,combined with his poems,it deeply analyzes the specific connotation of his poetics.The third chapter analyzes the main themes of Shen Yue’s five-character poems,especially the poems written by orders,poems about scenery,poems about singing and articles,and poems about communication,so as to discover the new changes in themes.The fourth chapter focuses on the art of Shen Yue’s five-character poems,analyzing the characteristics of rhyme,sentence number,words,idioms,style and so on,so as to show its characteristics in depth and detail.The fifth chapter mainly studies the influence of Shen Yue’s five-character poems,and probes into the profound influence of his poems on poets in the Yongming period,the late Southern Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty.
