| Body Language,also known as "Posture Language",is a non-verbal way of communication that uses image symbol systems such as facial expression,posture,and action to express emotions,attitudes and convey information,and is also widely known as "second language".The existing researches mostly focus on the cross-cultural field,paying no enough attention to the Chinese classroom and teachers’ body language.According to the author’s teaching experience for two years in Thailand,through classroom observation,questionnaire and interview,from specific language elements,the author explores the use of teachers’ body language,and analyzes the usage,summarizes the problems,puts forward effective solutions.The mainly following four findings:First,in the current primary Chinese teaching in Thailand,there are problems in the use of body language by teachers.Chinese teachers don’t pay enough attention to the application of body language.The use of body language by Chinese teachers is irregular,unscientific and arbitrary.Secondly,the types and frequency of body language greatly affect the primary Chinese teaching in Thailand.Classroom activities and Chinese competitions are the most frequently used and effective parts of body language.Facial expressions and gestures are the most frequently used body languages.Thirdly,reasonable design and use of teachers’ body language can effectively promote primary Chinese teaching in Thailand.Teachers should follow the principles of standardization,appropriateness,flexibility and politeness.Fourth,the scope of application of body language is not limited to high-frequency pronunciation and vocabulary teaching.The teachers’ body language can also achieve good teaching effects in the grammar teaching of higher grades. |
