Research And Practice On The Application Of Bamboo Materials In Public Art

At present,bamboo materials are widely used in public art,and its application has broadened the public’s cognitive boundaries of bamboo materials,and triggered the public’s thinking about public art works using bamboo materials as a medium.This project takes bamboo materials as the research object,analyzes the representative public art works of bamboo materials at home and abroad,deeply understands and discusses the advantages of bamboo materials,and further summarizes the creative forms and creative concepts of bamboo materials in public art,and applies them to art and design works.Based on the concept of bamboo public art,the physical,aesthetic and practical characteristics of bamboo materials are analyzed.At the same time,the typical bamboo public art works are investigated,and the application characteristics of points,lines and surfaces in bamboo public art works are analyzed and summarized.According to the characteristics,the application of technology,weaving techniques,modeling design,and spiritual expression techniques in public art works of bamboo materials is summarized,and bamboo materials and other comprehensive materials are combined and experimented.Finally,the works "Trace the origin","Tower-Reflection of Thunder Feng tower" and "Like a flower,like a mist" are used as design works to display.Through the design and production process of the work,the advantages of bamboo materials are summarized,and the methods that can continue to maintain the characteristics of natural materials when combined with other comprehensive materials are summarized,and then consider how the culture and spirit of bamboo materials as the object of this research can be promoted in the current public art form.After this practical exploration,the use of bamboo materials in public art is promoted,which provides a certain reference for researchers to create natural materials.
