English-Chinese Translation Report Based On The "Comprehension, Expression And Adaption" (CEA) Framework

With the rapid development of globalization,finance has taken on an increasingly important role in international affairs.Fintech represents the development trend of the financial industry.On the one hand,Fintech promotes financial innovation.On the other hand,the imperfection of laws and regulations breeds risks in rapid development.Therefore,it is imperative to construct and improve Fintech laws and regulations.The source text of this translation practice is selected from the book The Impact of Fintech on Central Bank Governance,written by employees of the International Monetary Fund in 2021.It is about how central banks best address the impact of Fintech on their governance and put forward legal suggestions for that.The author utilizes the CEA framework under the guidance of “Comprehension,Expression and Adaption” proposed by Li Changshuan.“Comprehension” is regarded as the starting point.The step of“Adaption” works as a bridge to a better “Expression”.This report consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the report’s context,purpose,and process.Chapter 2 presents the overview of the CEA framework.Chapter 3analyzes the case study in three repects: Comprehension,Expression,and Adaption.Chapter 4 is the author’s reflection after the translation practice.The author strives to achieve two purposes:(1)The author expects the translation practice can check the author’s translation learning results.Under the guidance of the CEA framework,the author will apply flexible strategies to tackle the difficulties of the source text;(2)The author expects the report to provide strategies and examples for the future translation with similar themes,and provide references for relevant practitioners.
