Research On The Suspense Construction Art Of Ning Hao’s Film

Suspense is an important narrative technique of the art.Its purpose is to maintain the audience’s attention in the art as long as possible.Film is an art that needs to be appreciated for a long time,so how to use suspense to attract the attention of audience has become a difficult problem that needs to be solved constantly.As a director with strong narrative ability in the development of Chinese films,Ning Hao has his own characteristics in the construction of suspense and has always been on the path of continuous exploration and innovation.Therefore,the application of suspense in his films is valuable.This thesis will take suspense as the research object,based on the actual cases of Ning’s films,summarize and sort out the suspense construction system with Ning’s characteristics,explore the influence of suspense on the film,and finally combine the research results of suspense with personal practical creation.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly gives a brief overview of the film suspense and Ning’s film,and clearly puts forward the purpose and content of the study.The second chapter is the narrative level,summarizes and analyzes the suspense application which involves four aspects:narrative structure,suspense output rhythm,characterization and foreshadowing,refining the personal characteristics of Ning ’s suspense narrative.The third chapter is the audio-visual image presentation,analyzes the coordination between clip rhythm,camera scene,spatial structure and suspense,and analyzes how Ning Hao shapes suspense through film language.The fourth chapter summarizes the specific cases of the suspense construction of Ning Hao,summarizes and analyzes the comprehensive effects of the suspense of Ning ’s films,and analyzes the internal logic of the suspense construction of the films from the view of narrative innovation,theme sublimation,and meeting the needs of the audience.At the end of each chapter,combined with the thinking of author’s short film,through the research of the suspense construction of Ning’s film,we can deepen understanding of suspense from a objective perspective.
