Psychological capital is a manifestation of the individual’s inherent positive psychological advantage,which is conducive to the growth and development of the individual and the sustainable competitiveness of the organization.This study focuses on the concept,structure,current characteristics,and influencing factors of psychological capital among volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand.On the one hand,this research enriches the study of the psychological aspects of volunteer Chinese teachers,and on the other hand,it provides a scientific basis for the professional development of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand.This research takes the psychological capital as the angle of view,uses the document analysis,questionnaires and interviews to conduct an investigation.The research was divided into three parts: questionnaire preparation,character analysis and relation study.After in-depth interviews with 10 volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand,the definition of psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand was made,and a scale on psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand was compiled.The Psychological Capital Scale for volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand has good reliability and validity,and can be used as a survey tool for the psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand.This scale was used to investigate 180 volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand in 2022,analyze the current characteristics of psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand,and initially reveal the relationship between volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand and job satisfaction,job burnout and job input.The research achievements are as follows: The psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand has four factors which are Resilience,Optimism,Hope and Confidence.The psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand with teaching duration,Chinese teaching experience,school type,Thai language proficiency adaptability,school type and workload are absolutely different,while the overall difference of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand with age,gender,education,major,overseas experience,motivation to go to work and school area are not obvious.The psychological capital of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand has a positive impact on job satisfaction and job input,and a negative impact on job burnout.In this regard,the author proposes corresponding optimization strategies from the two levels of management and volunteer Chinese teachers,such as actively building incentive mechanism,meeting reasonable needs as far as possible,conscientiously caring about volunteer Chinese teachers,etc.
