As the companion of the development of the social urban form, cities and movies have changed in the direction of renewal and modernization with the development of the times. The modern transformation of Chinese society has contributed to the development of Chinese urban movies from a very important aspect. In the 1990 s,as capital power was added to the urban field, the urban space landscape was constantly renovated.Demolition and reconstruction became the main body of development in this period, and "demolition" became an important topic in the process of urban modernization. The urban films in the 1990 s keenly captured the special urban phenomenon of demolition, and the documentary images have become an artistic expression of urban changes, which has certain practical significance."Demolition",as a historical phenomenon in the 1990 s,was first motivated by the implementation of national policies, but it has a more profound significance in terms of culture and spirit. The resulting material dissolution and landscape loss correspond to the destruction of the symbolic and psychological significance of the traditional social structure, accompanied by identity anxiety and spiritual loss. The article mainly starts from three aspects. The first chapter first sorts out the issues related to "demolition images" in the last decade of the 1990 s,observes and analyzes the timeliness of the emergence of demolition images, divides the "demolition images" in the film into three tenses of "past present future" according to the diachronic context, discusses the different aspects of "demolition" and the whole process,as well as many characteristics in the process, and tries to outline a relatively complete urban film "demolition picture".The second chapter,"Three dimensions of the" demolition image "space in Chinese urban films in the 1990s",analyzes how the demolition image participates in the narrative of space and how to highlight its effectiveness in the specific audio-visual development from the three spaces of ruins space, public space and private space.Pay special attention to the important relationship between the specific place, landscape and human development in the demolition image. The third chapter "modernity experience" focuses on the plight of modern people through some social problems caused by demolition, analyzes the hidden depression, depression and anxiety of modernity experience, and makes some thinking on material modernity and spiritual modernity.Based on this, this paper aims to take the demolition images in urban films as the research object, analyze and discuss the demolition images in Chinese urban films from 1990 to 2000 from the perspective of urban culture by using film text interpretation, image space-time theory, and cultural criticism theory. This paper selects the urban film with demolition as an important narrative background.Through the cultural interpretation of the urban landscape and urban people in the film,it interprets the contemporary universal urban cultural connotation and takes care of the living situation of urban people. This paper attempts to explain the living conditions of people and the new cultural and social attributes of the city behind the "demolition image" under the violent impact of modern society in the 1990 s,and analyzes its cultural meaning from the perspective of urban aesthetic culture.
