With the rapid economic development,the status of women in China has been significantly improved.The advent of "her era" has made the portrayal of female characters in TV dramas a hot topic.2020 has been a period of spurt of female drama series in China,and the popularity of dramas such as "Thirty Only" and "I Don’t Want to Be Friends with You" has made more and more people focus on the different anxieties and expectations of women at each stage.People’s demand for women is no longer the flat "silly white sweet" or "virtuous wife and mother",but has become more diversified.With this in mind,I chose this female story as the basis for a new attempt to portray women in TV dramas and explore the way out for women in modern society.Throughout the creation of "Scandal Idol",I mainly wanted to express that women should not be bound by their families,but should step out of the age frame and do what they want to do.Therefore,in the design of the characters,the female lead Qin Yuge went from being a housewife to hiding her age and entering a girl group to no longer being shy about her age and being her true self,reflecting the liberation and growth of women’s consciousness.Compared to previous similar productions,the biggest innovation of this production is that for the first time,it challenges women to change their identities from housewives to girl group idols,while weakening the previous portrayal of women’s families and love,and focusing on how women achieve self-worth.The production focuses on different female groups and diverse female relationships,which is a new attempt to portray women in dramas.
