On The People’s View In Feng Xuefeng’s Marxist Literary Criticism

Feng Xuefeng’s Marxist literary criticism always revolves around the people’s discourse,and his view of the people has distinct characteristics of The Times.At the same time,it provides important reference value for the development of the current "peoplecentered" Chinese Marxist literary theory.Based on Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People in Marxist literary criticism,this paper reviews its theoretical source,theoretical form and practical application,and makes a value judgment,and then thinks about the enlightenment of Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People to the theoretical construction of literary criticism and literary creation in the current process of the Sinicization of Marxist literary and artistic thought.The first chapter explores the historical conditions and personal factors put forward by Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People in Marxist literary criticism.Under the background of China’s democratic revolution,the practice of proletarian revolutionary literature needs to conform to the theoretical support of The Times.Based on the literary practice since the May Fourth Movement,Feng Xuefeng reflected on some wrong tendencies in the later period of the Left League.At the same time,he inherited the thought of "serving the people" of traditional Chinese scholar-officials and the view of the people in Lu Xun’s literary thoughts,combined with the Marxism and realism in the translation of Russian and Soviet literary theories,and rethought the relationship between our revolutionary literature and the people.The second chapter discusses the theoretical morphological characteristics of Feng Xuefeng’s Marxist literary criticism of the People’s view.Feng Xuefeng’s literary creation shows his concern for the real life of the people and praises the heroic power of the people.In his theoretical discourse,"people power" is the core concept of his people view.The reflection of the real people’s power is the external expression of the people’s power,and the driving role of the people in the historical process is the deep core of the people’s power.In revolutionary practice,the people have always been in a dominant position.At the same time,Feng Xuefeng absorbed the nourishment of Russian and Soviet people’s literature in the process of translation of literary theory,and his view of the people highlighted the class nature of revolution,the unity of reality and history,as well as the characteristics of national and global expression.The third chapter analyzes the guidance of Feng Xuefeng’s People’s view of Marxist literary criticism to literary creation theory and literary criticism practice.Realistic creation and popular form is the necessary way of literary creation for the people.Realistic creation should reflect the real power of the people,and create the real image of the people through "typified generalization",so as to achieve the overall planning of subjective power,artistic power and people power.This process requires writers to maintain consistency with the proletariat,namely,proletariat life,and adhere to the unity of the subjective and objective power of the people.The form of popularization should conform to the people’s power of The Times,adopt the "national form" which is closely related to people’s life,construct the popular language of popularization expression,and make revolutionary realism,the people and the popularization of literature and art in a unified system.In the practice of literary criticism,Feng Xuefeng comments on the transformation of Ding Ling’s bourgeois position on literature and art,discusses the artistic characteristics of "people’s love" in Lu Xun’s realism,and the tradition of people’s power in the Water Margin,showing the practical dimension of Feng Xuefeng’s view of the people.The fourth chapter evaluates the value and historical limitation of Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People in Marxist literary criticism,and probes into the realistic significance of Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People in the formation of Marxist literary criticism in China.Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People inherits and carries forward Lu Xun’s spirit of "standard bearer" and develops people’s literature through connecting the past and the future.As a stallion of the "troika",Feng Xuefeng strives for the balance between literature and politics,respects the social and historical power of the people,and fully recognizes the complexity and duplicity of the people.Feng Xuefeng in the proletarian revolution in the historical context of realism,gradually "left" leaning,this is the inevitable limitation of his theory.Feng Xuefeng’s view of the People has been tested by history and extended to the literature and art policy and thought discourse of contemporary China.For the shaping of the people in the new era,literary creators should take root in the real people’s life,focus on the diversity of the people’s strata,and generalize the typical in the group,which is the new inspiration of Feng Xuefeng’s Marxist view of the people in contemporary Chinese people’s discourse.
