Family and hometown is the life source of Chinese culture,a series of films featuring family stories have a long history in China.After entering the new century,blockbusters compete on the commercial film stage,at the same time,stories about ordinary families can only be pushed to the edge in a raging environment.Until a group of young directors with multiple development directions frequently described the family,they showed changes in social spirit in the tracking of individual experiences.With the expansion of the number of this group,the family images they created have become a landscape that can not be ignored in the contemporary film world.At present,there are still some deficiencies in the academic discussion concerning their film texts,which is the origin of this study.Based on the space theory,which has a intimate relationship with film Noumenon,this study explores the presentation of daily life and creator’s self-cognition in the new generation films.In the specific ideas of writing,this paper mainly launches the main part according to the family types of different structures.The first chapter analyzes films showing the stem family,how to present the physical predicament of the elderly,the conflict of discourse inside and outside the family,and the impact on this ancient family model as a result of the change of power.The second chapter focuses on the family space in nuclear families,the invasion of disease and the absence of parents have brought obvious changes to the living environment and emotional environment for family members,while the once warm life sinks in the material expansion,thinking in the face of death brings new liberation to the individual.The analysis of the Quasi-family space in Chapter 3 is the film creators’ call for the reality reconstruction,which not only contains the concern for the individuals at the bottom of the city,but also shows some longings and expectations for the future.The differentiation utopia space constructed by film creators is not a pipe dream,but will inevitably affect more general reality with the further development of the trend of social individualization.The fourth chapter further asks the question of the value of the text.The innovation of the the new generation films in the expression of the family space is extraordinary.which is embodied in the innovation of narrative strategy,the pursuit of aesthetic poetry,the social function of family space image and so on.The conclusion part makes a necessary reflection on the existing problems such as repetition of style and over-reliance on perceptual experience in the new generation films,At the same time,this part calls on today’s mass culture market to provide an ideal space for the growth of the new generation directors.
