Research On The Detection And Control Strategy Of Online Gun Trafficking Crim

With the fast development of the internet and logistic industry in China,the internet has rapidly become the breeding ground for crimes like smuggling,trafficking,transportation and mailing of guns on top of the conventional channels.If we look at gun-related cases solved by Public Security Authorities in China,there is a big bump in the number of cases in which the guns in question were acquired through online sources.Those unstable groups have currently gotten hold of a great amount of military firearms,improvised firearms and convertedfirearms.Considering the rampant violence and terrorist activities in certain areas of China,frequent infiltration of overseas hostile groups and a recent surge in the activities of unstable social groups,China faces serious security concerns.Also,online gun trafficking poses constant threat to the lives and properties of the general public and to the lasting peace and order of our society.Starting in 2011,the Ministry of Public Security of China has launched a series of targeted operations to curb the development of online gun trafficking,including Operation ‘Mie Qiang’(Gun Eradication),Special Operation of Cracking Down on Online Gun Trafficking(Carried out by No.801 Special Task Force),and so on.However,because of the new characteristics of online gun trafficking,which is different from the traditional crime,the traditional means of investigation has not been able to meet the needs of the crime.At present,the effect is not satisfactory throughout the fight,away from the source of malignant tumor eradication,purification of social security environment there is a big distance.Author will start the article with the characteristics of this kind of crime,researching the problems existing in the process of investigation,and study the targeted measures,to provide the basis and reference for improving the level and ability of the public security organs to combat such crimes.
