Influence Factors And Mechanism Analysis Of Local Government Information Transparency Policy

Chinese Local Government Information Transparency Policy is a public supervision policy of the people’s government for the realization of the public’s right to participate in,the right to know,etc.What factors determine the diffusion of Chinese Local Government Information Transparency Policy?Are the influencing factors of policy different from other factors?To answer the above questions.Based on the summary of the existing literature,this paper classifies the factors of government information disclosure policy proliferation into three types of influencing factors:economic and social factors,external pressure factors,and organizational leadership factors.Through empirical research on 293 cities across the country,this article explores the characteristics of the spread of government information disclosure policies in the time and space dimensions.On this basis,the survival database of 293 cities from 2002 to 2019 was further constructed,and the event history research method was used to quantitatively analyze the influencing factors of policy proliferation at city level.The study found that in terms of economy and society,local economic level and population size have a positive impact on policy diffusion;in terms of external pressure,local governments are more inclined to adopt policies when faced with pressure from superior governments and neighboring governments;in terms of organizational leadership,local municipal committee the secretary’s academic qualifications also played a role in promoting policy proliferation.
