With the continuous development of the global economy and the advancement of internationalization, economic exchanges and integration among countries are becoming more frequent and deeper,China’s economy is gradually deepening and integrating into the international system.I summarize the current state of China’s export trade and bilateral political relations, and sort out the existing literature and theories. The subjects of the study are the bilateral political relations between twelve major countries and China and China’s export trade. The content of the study is the influence of bilateral political relations on China’s export trade.Using the scores of bilateral political relations between all 12 countries with China from 1992 to 2019 collected from Tsinghua University database. The twelve countries are seven developed countries and five developing countries.Bilateral political relationship scores are selected as the core explanatory variables and Chinese export trade volume as the explanatory variables, trade gravity models and panel data are established, the software Stata16.0 and fixed effects regression methods are used to conduct empirical studies and robustness tests to study the impact of political bilateral relationships on China’s export trade. The research results show that bilateral political relations have a great impact on China’s export trade, and good bilateral political relations can effectively maintain and promote China’s export trade, while political conflicts between the two sides can inhibit the development of China’s export trade. The in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative has not only injected new vitality into bilateral political relations, but also increased China’s export trade to countries along the routes.China should increase the number of high-level visits, deepen partnerships and enhance political mutual trust with other countries in order to expand China’s comparative advantage in export trade.
