With the deepening of aging in China,the demographic characteristics brought by aging have gradually emerged,and the number of elderly people with advanced age,disability and dementia has been increasing.With the increasing age and deterioration of physical functions,there are now more than 40 million disabled elderly people in China,among which the elderly aged 80 and above account for a larger proportion.With the change of society,informal care,mainly family care,is weakening and formal care is developing.In this context,through Anderson’s model to analyze and accurately grasp the willingness of China’s elderly disabled people to choose long-term care models,as well as to deeply analyze the reasons behind them,it will help the development of China’s long-term care system,which is important for optimizing the multi-level elderly care and pension system.This paper compared China’s policies according to the current domestic and foreign research,took Anderson’s model as the basic framework,and analyzed the situational characteristics,personal characteristics,medical behaviors,and medical outcomes of the elderly with advanced age and disability by using the relevant questions in the 2017-2018 CLHLS questionnaire based on the main contents of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,organism attrition theory,and demand spillover theory.Binary logistic regression analysis in SPSS was then used to screen out the significant factors affecting the choice of care models for the elderly with high levels of disability.The statistical results were analyzed and relevant policy recommendations were made.The results showed that the location and the type of household registration had significant influence on the choice of care mode for the disabled elderly when it comes to the situational features;the education level,marital status,the habits of health check have a significant impact on the choice of care mode when it comes to the tendency features;family income,old-age Insurance,community-provided residential care services and the number of children have a significant impact on the on the choice of care mode when it comes to the enable resources;high blood pressure,heart disease,stroke and cerebrovascular disease,cataract and degree of disability have significant effects on the choice of care mode referring to the demands.Therefore,such relevant factors should be fully taken into account in the top-level design of policies,and local governments should also combine such factors with their own circumstances when formulating policies,so as to make better policies,and better meet the needs of the disabled elderly.According to this empirical analysis,combined with the actual interview survey results,this article proposed targeted recommendations from the policy-making,social participation,education and other aspects.It is expected to provide reference for the sustainable and healthy development of our long-term care system.
