Between The State And Society: A Political Analysis Of The Role And Function Of Women’s Federation

China’s Women’s Federation is a mass organization established by the Communist Party of China to strive for the liberation of women.Since its establishment in 1949,it has had a profound influence on the process of social development.As an important social pillar of the state power,women’s federations undertake an important mission in the whole society,plays an important role and plays a special function,and its existence and development have special value and significance.As an important member of mass organizations,the women’s Federation developed during the long revolution and war.After the founding of the Communist Party of China,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China established the Department of the Party in 1922 to strengthen the leadership of the women’s movement.Under the leadership of the Party,the masses of women from all walks of life gradually realized the great union.In 1949,the National Democratic Women’s Federation was established to unite other women’s masses.Reform and opening up pointed out the direction for the Chinese women’s movement,which is the boundary between the role and function of the women’s federation;as the socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era,the women’s federation constantly improved and reformed according to the reform of the masses.In the course of history,the women’s federations have experienced valleys and stagnation,but they finally developed and grew from the weak according to their own organizational advantages and the masses,and participated in the social governance practice in the stage of socialist revolution,construction and reform,and accumulated rich experience.In discusses the role and function of women’s organization,first clear attributes of women’s federation organization is an unavoidable problem,about women’s organization belongs to the non-governmental organization(NGO),the government or party organization nature debate,this paper thinks that women’s federation organization has the common characteristics of the above three,not to all.As a women’s federation produced under the specific historical background of China,it has been constantly developing and changing,but generally speaking,it has always been the representative and defender of the interests of the majority of women,taking promoting women’s liberation and development as an important goal.In the new era,women’s federations make use of various emerging technologies and resources to continuously strengthen the protection of women’s rights and interests from various aspects such as interest expression mechanism and legal protection,and at the same time constantly strengthen their own construction to improve their ability to protect women’s rights.In the process of China’s revolution and modernization,women’s federations have exerted great energy.The progress and development of women have always been closely linked to the progress and development of the country and the nation.As the dual representative of the country and the society,how to adjust their own roles and functions between the two organizations is the focus of this paper.
