Research On Public Welfare Crowdfunding For Rural Major Disease Relief In China In The Internet Era

In the context of the Internet era,public welfare crowdfunding for major illness relief has widely penetrated rural areas,becoming an important choice for rural residents to seek major illness relief.Due to the limited reimbursement scope and low compensation amount of rural medical insurance,public welfare crowdfunding for major illness relief has gradually become a social supplementary model for major illness insurance.Public welfare crowdfunding for major illness relief is a product of the combination of network technology and public welfare.It not only makes up for the shortcomings of traditional public welfare undertakings,but also breaks the limitations of time and space,improves the efficiency of fundraising,reduces crowdfunding costs,meets the needs of rural residents,and becomes an indispensable part of the social medical security system.However,in recent years,negative news such as fraudulent donations and fraudulent donations have emerged one after another,causing the funds to not be used properly,leading to public questioning and trust anxiety.Therefore,conducting research on public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief has important practical and theoretical significance in improving the risk resistance of rural residents and promoting the sustainable development of public welfare crowdfunding.This article takes the rural areas of X City,Jiangxi Province as the research scope,and uses literature research,questionnaire survey,and interview methods to study the public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief.It explores the problems and causes of public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief,and proposes suggestions and countermeasures accordingly.Firstly,review the relevant research on public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief by domestic and foreign scholars,clarify the research ideas and directions of predecessors,and provide reference for subsequent discussions.Secondly,define the concepts of major illness relief and public welfare crowdfunding,and analyze them using Zimmer’s trust theory and social capital theory,while also analyzing the elements and rescue process of public welfare crowdfunding.Then,through investigation and analysis of X City in Jiangxi Province,the problems in public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief were identified,including: some donors’ donations have special tendencies and low enthusiasm,a few of them have false help information and opaque use of funds,the information review of public welfare crowdfunding platforms is not strict and the feedback mechanism is not sound,and the effectiveness of public welfare crowdfunding is poor.There are multiple reasons behind these problems,including the lack of social morality and mutual assistance atmosphere,unclear legal rights and responsibilities,as well as inadequate supervision and information dissemination.Finally,in response to the problems and reasons of public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief,corresponding normative measures were proposed to create a public welfare atmosphere of social morality and mutual assistance,establish a sound institutional environment,establish a comprehensive regulatory system,and strengthen the self-restraint of public welfare crowdfunding platforms,in order to promote the healthy development of public welfare crowdfunding for rural major disease relief.
