Youth is the product of The Times,is the most sensitive barometer of the age.Young people of different times follow the trend of The Times,keep up with the pulse of The Times,and move in the same direction with social development.At the same time,it transcends The Times.China’s youth movement began in the May 4th Movement,and since then it has started the revolutionary road of abandoning old traditions and creating new civilizations.This paper takes the definition of youth and youth movement as the logical starting point,and retrospects the glorious history of the youth movement led by the Communist Party of China over the past hundred years.It has already found that the Chinese youth movement has not only formed the basic development mode with its own distinctive characteristics,but also accumulated a series of valuable and rich historical experience.The youth group in the experience of a revolution has shed the initial green and immature,gradually to mature state.Therefore,the precious historical experience condensed from the historical logic and development of the Chinese youth movement has become a realistic path to constantly stimulate the high-quality development of youth work in the new era.Standing on the starting point of the centenary Party,we have entered a new stage of development.Under the leadership of the Party and the state,all the people are forging ahead towards the second centenary Goal.The youth movement and youth work in the new era will face more arduous responsibilities and more severe challenges as The Times change.Therefore,the young people in the new era should draw striving force from the century-old youth history,assume clear responsibilities on the journey to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,consolidate the mass base,and promote the final realization of China’s goal of becoming a modern socialist country with the modernization of the young people.
