| Duty weekly’s exploration of the Chinese revolution constitutes an indelible ideological imprint in the course of the Sinicization of Marxism.This paper takes Duty weekly’s exploration of modern Chinese social conditions,revolutionary objects and driving forces,revolutionary leadership forces and tasks as the main research content,and then objectively evaluates Duty weekly’s understanding of Chinese revolution.The first part introduces the basic overview of Duty weekly.The development of Zhejiang’s national capitalist economy since modern times,the awakening of the working class and the peasant class,the spread of western culture and the rise of modern education,the further spread of Marxism in the May Fourth Period,and the continuation of the spirit of the peasant movement in Yaqian constitute the social history and realistic basis for Duty weekly to explore the Chinese revolution.Duty weekly was founded in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province in November 1922.Its main writers were early Zhejiang Communists and members of the Socialist Youth League.The second part discusses the analysis of the social condition of modern China by the Duty weekly.Duty weekly mainly analyzed the social situation of modern China from the aspects of human nature and duty,national nature,feminist movement,social education and so on.Duty weekly’s analysis of the social situation of modern China formed the ideological basis for its exploration of the Chinese revolution.The third part analyzes the Duty weekly’s understanding of the object and motive force of Chinese revolution.Duty weekly held that imperialism,feudalism and capitalism were all the objects of the Chinese revolution,and peasant groups and labor groups were the driving forces of the Chinese revolution.The fourth part analyzes the Duty weekly’s understanding of the leading forces and tasks of the Chinese revolution.Duty weekly held that the Chinese revolution should take socialism as the guiding ideology and the intellectual class as the leadership core.The task of the Chinese revolution was to eliminate the imperialist spies in China,overthrow the economic system with capital as the core,and reform the backward old society.The fifth part,appraises the Duty weekly’s understanding of Chinese revolution.Based on the overall cognition of the social situation in modern China,Duty weekly made a clear judgment on the development direction of the Chinese revolution and realized that the peasants were a force that could not be ignored to promote the Chinese revolution.All these were of progressive significance to the society at that time.However,it ignored the necessity of leading the revolution by the working class,and its determination to carry the revolution to the end was not firm enough,which reflected certain historical limitations. |
