Research On Public Opinion Guidance Of Government Wechat In The COVID-19

Recently,government Wechat has developed rapidly,and has gradually become an important platform for government information disclosure,government service,public opinion guidance,and an important tool for enhancing social governance capacity.During the COVID-19 period,government Wechat,as the official release platform of the government,played the role of public opinion through the functions of authoritative release,agenda setting and interactive services,and became increasingly important in guiding public opinion during public health emergencies.This paper is guided by two questions: Based on the 4R crisis management theory,what is the current situation of public opinion guidance of We Chat Official Account “hfsrmzffb”during the COVID-19 period? How can the government Wechat do a good job of guiding public opinion in response to different stages of the development of public health emergencies?Therefore,this paper adopts the methods of content analysis,in-depth interview,case study and takes the We Chat Official Account “hfsrmzffb”as the research object,and uses the 4R crisis management theory as the theoretical basis to analyse the specific content of the We Chat Official Account “hfsrmzffb”.The study also summarises the strengths and weaknesses of the We Chat Official Account“hfsrmzffb”in guiding public opinion during the COVID-19 period by combining interviews with the staff of the government Wechat.Finally,the four stages of reduction,readiness,response and recovery are proposed to further improve the ability of government We Chat in guiding public opinion during public health emergencies including the following point.In the reduction stage: monitoring public opinion,improving team management,and strengthening information disclosure.In the readiness stage:establishing guidance mechanisms,strengthening departmental cooperation,and building publishing brands.In the response stage:strengthening platform linkage,optimizing communication forms,and expanding interactive.In the recovery stage:continuously deliver authoritative voice,cultivate public rationality,and summarize experience in time.
