A Study Of Japanese Economic Diplomacy Toward The Philippines Since The Beginning Of 21st Century

Entering the 21st century,this process of international diplomacy has created a broader external environment for economic development as the international order is readjusted and international strategies continue to evolve.Economic diplomacy plays a crucial role.Japanese economic diplomacy has become an important aspect of Japan’s foreign relations and has been an important part of Japan’s diplomacy and even Japan’s foreign policy,playing a pivotal role in Japan’s positive interaction with the international community.Based on the theory of Japanese economic diplomacy in the 21st century and the theory of neo-liberal institutionalism in international relations,this paper analyzes the history of Japanese economic diplomacy toward the Philippines from the Cold War to the 21st century and analyzes the current development of economic assistance,economic cooperation and cultural interaction between the Japanese government and the Philippines after the 21st century.The problems of Japan’s economic diplomacy with the Philippines in the 21st century,namely economic and political problems,are analyzed,and the reasons for their formation are: 1.the excessive focus on national economic interests,2.the rising strategic value of Southeast Asia,3.the impact of The United States,we can learn from the successes of Japan’s economic diplomacy with the Philippines and improve and enrich China’s economic diplomacy theory,so as to better promote the development of China’s economic diplomacy with the Philippines.Japan’s practice of economic diplomacy has enabled Japan to play an important role in international affairs and to improve and enhance itself to the greatest extent possible.Japan’s continued economic diplomacy can be seen both as a way for Japan to enhance its international political and economic status through economic diplomacy and as a positive contribution to the world economy and international order in the process of shaping its international image.Therefore,the study of Japan’s economic diplomacy toward the Philippines in the 21st century is of great value and significance both theoretically and practically,as it contributes to the development of economic diplomacy theory and to the exploration of the content of economic cooperation and interaction between Japan and the Philippines.
