Study On The Role Of Left-behind Women In Rural Community Resilience Construction

With a large number of migrant workers moving to the cities,there has been a problem of population loss in the rural areas,which makes the rural areas more vulnerable to various impacts.In this context,the economic and social construction of rural communities has to rely more on left-behind women and other young and middle-aged labor force.How to play the role of women to improve the rural community resilience has become an important topic.Community resilience theory provides an effective theory for the study of this issue.Under the guidance of this theory,rural community resilience is divided into three dimensions:institution resilience,society resilience and economy resilience,and study focus on how the vulnerable women bear the burden of rural community resilience construction;The dilemma and solutions faced by women in the practice of rural community resilience construction.By means of interviews and questionnaires,the authors investigated the village cadres and villagers of five villages in Tai ’an and Weifang of Shandong Province,and obtained first-hand data.Through descriptive analysis,case analysis and other methods,combined with relevant working documents,this paper describes the basic situation of the role of left-behind women in the rural community resilience of sample rural communities,and concludes that with the support of village committees,left-behind women and other women have played an important role in the construction of rural community resilience,and made important contributions to improving the economy resilience,institution resilience and society resilience of villages.At the same time,the paper also summarizes the problems caused by the insufficient role of left-behind women in the construction of rural community resilience,and in-depth analysis of the causes of these problems.Finally,provide countermeasures and suggestions to better play the role of left behind women in the construction of rural community resilience,in order to promote the better play of left behind women in the construction of rural community resilience,and thereby enhance the rural community resilience.The article believes that in order to better leverage the role of rural left behind women in the construction of rural community resilience,the following points need to be achieved: empowering rural left behind women’s economic development capabilities and enhancing the rural community economy resilience;Creating favorable institutional conditions for women’s participation in rural community autonomy;Fully leverage women’s gender advantages in society construction and enhance the rural communitiey society resilience.
