Agricultural production has become the main means of employment of left-behind women, employment channels is single, income is lower, economically poorer. Studying left-behind women employment problems will broaden their employment opportunities and help to increase their income.Employment is vital to people’s livelihood, left-behind women’s employment problems are not only related to the economic life Improvement and Social advancement, but also related to the new socialist rural construction and Harmonious development of rural community. This paper selects the Northwest where the export of labors is more prevalent, take Gansu where left-behind women is more typical for example, analysis of the left-behind women’s employment phenomenon through a series of data and information, extract the typical plight that the left-behind women encountered during the course of employment, Seek causes of employment plight from Internal division of rural households, urban-rural dual system and the quality of left-behind women. Meanwhile, use the new home economics employment decision theory to further analysis the possibility of left-behind women’s employment outside the home, believe that under the current situation, encouraging left-behind women to work outside, broadening their employment patterns is feasible and necessary.
