Study Of China’s Strategy Toward Russia Under The Leadership Of Chinese And Russian Heads Of State Diplomacy Since The 18th Congress Of The Communist Party Of China

Diplomatic strategy with Russia is an important part of Xi Jinping’s diplomatic thought.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping and Putin have actively carried out head-of-state diplomacy and played a unique role in promoting bilateral relations.The remarkable achievements of the diplomacy between the heads of state of China and Russia are inseparable from the important position occupied by the head of state in China and Russia,and even more inseparable from the personal charm of Xi Jinping and Putin.From 2013 to2023,there have been more than 40 meetings between the heads of state of China and Russia in 10 years.2023 is the 74 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia,the relationship between the two countries has been up and down for more than 70 years,under the precipitation of history,Xi Jinping has inherited the diplomatic strategic thinking of the main leaders of the CPC of the older generation towards the Soviet Union/Russia,and according to the different times of today,he has constantly improved today’s China’s diplomatic strategy with Russia,and now China and Russia have built a partnership of comprehensive strategic coordination in the new era.As a world power and a developing country adjacent to China,the development of Sino-Russian relations is of great significance to China,Russia and the world.At present,the diplomacy of the Chinese and Russian heads of state mainly advocates leading China-Russia relations from the aspects of highlighting win-win cooperation,all-round and multi-angle.Under this guidance,since the18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has continuously improved the top-level design related to international relations and China’s diplomatic strategy.China’s strategy towards Russia relies on the diplomacy of the Chinese and Russian heads of state,and the two countries have established a new type of major country relations,built a community with a shared future for mankind,improved the global governance system and promoted the continuous development of the "Belt and Road" construction in bilateral or multilateral platforms.China is a builder of world peace,a contributor to global development,a defender of international order and a protector of regional security.After the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Russia’s role in China’s foreign power diplomacy will become more prominent.Of course,without the efforts of Xi Jinping and Putin,it will be difficult for Sino-Russian relations to develop to the current high level.The diplomacy between the Chinese and Russian heads of state after the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has enriched China’s foreign exchange model,highlighted the particularity and originality of Xi Jinping’s diplomatic thought,and provided the international community with a model of friendly new type of major country relations.This paper takes the diplomatic guidance of Chinese and Russian heads of state since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as the starting point to study China’s diplomatic strategy towards Russia,which is conducive to better understanding and grasping China’s diplomatic strategic deployment towards Russia and promoting the deepening and development of China-Russia relations.
