Sino - Russian Relations In The Context Of US Strategic Focus

The triangle-relationship analysis, among all the theories ofinternational-relation, is often cited as an important tool to examine theever-changing relations between dominate powers. The article is going to mainlyanalyze the bilateral relation between China and Russia that proceeds under theinfluence of the United States core strategic adjustment which shifting back to Asiaand the Pacific region from the Europe and Middle East. The best way to assess theSino-Russia relations in a proper and correct manner is to put the research in theframework of this triangular relationship of United States\China and Russia.Therefore, the article employs the approach.The article firstly introduces the thoughts and political practices of the USStrategic shift to Asia and the Pacific region, and reveals the true reasons andpurposes for this strategic shift. Meanwhile, the article concludes some specificmeasures that taken by the US to enforce its shift, and assessing some of thesemeasures. And then, the article reveals the challenges faced China and Russia withAmerican strategic shift to the region. Respectively, the author analyzes the problemsand difficulties faced ahead for the two countries in this term. The changes anddevelopments of Sino-Russia relations under the influence of the United States corestrategic shift will also be examined in term of economy, military and cultureexchange. Therefor, discussions for its huge potential in the bilateral relationsbetween China and Russia will expand to a large scale, and analysis for the possibilityof bilateral cooperation for China and Russia in Quasi-Alliance will also be added tothe framework. Finally, the article studies the limitations in the development ofSino-Russia relations.All the researchers need to pay attentions to the changes that brought byAmerican strategic shift to the region, even in the perspective of the internationalstatus and influence of US, and Chinese and Russian present development level,which deserves the same efforts. By analyzing the problems\challenges andopportunities faced all the parties involved, a lot more researches of Sino-Russia relations is urgently needed, which not just aims at finding a new way that can bestpromote the development of both sides, but also maintain the stability in the region,and meanwhile contain the U.S. strategic expansion. Practically and theoretically, theagenda taken by the article has performed a very important meaning, and alsoreflected the values for Chinese central government to formulate its foreign andsecurity policies in a rational and effective manner, which by all means, is said toachieve its ultimate goal as establishing a peaceful environment for the countrydevelopment.
