The Russian East Asian diplomacy from the perspective of the Ukrainian crisis Ukrainian crisis was broken out by the end of 2013 since theYanukovich government refused to sign the association agreement with the EU. Ukrainian crisis was the inevitable result caused due to its unique historical culture, its economic and political crisis, split situation between its eastern and western areas, as well as the geopolitical game of Russia and Western countries around Ukraine. And an important impact was played by crisis on domestic and foreign affairs of Russia. Although Crimea could be taken back by Russia under the Ukrainian crisis, Russia was suffered from the economic sanctions of US-led western countries. Therefore, Russia significantly strengthened the cooperation with eastern countries and international organizations to get rid of negative impacts of political isolation and economic sanctions. As a top priority of Russia’s eastern-oriented diplomacy, the Sino-Russian relation has made significant progress in fields of political, economic and military cooperation after Ukrainian crisis, which is currently at the best period among history. Due to further deepening Sino-Russian relation, the doubts and fears of Russia are still remaining towards China. To deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, China and Russia should continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, especially cultural exchanges and cooperation, in order to remove doubts, enhance mutual understanding, improve mutual trust, and promote Sino-Russian relations to a broader and deeper direction.
