| In recent years, the research on China is in ascendant in British and American academic circles. As a political party with a history of 100 years and more than 70 years of governing experience, the reason why can the Communist Party of China lead the Chinese people to carry out the historic cause of revolution, construction and reform" has attracted increasing attention. In this field, the study on the anti-corruption of the Communist Party of China has gradually become a prominent focus. In particular, since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Communist Party of China, with the spirit of keeping a sharp edge inward, has realized the transformation from the"grim and complicated" situation of the anti-corruption to the "stalemate" of corruption and anti-corruption,and finally to "overwhelming victory and consolidation and development".This great achievement has been widely discussed. This paper takes the research on anti-corruption struggle since the 18 th National Congress of the United States and Britain as the research object, and conducts academic research from the following four aspects. The first chapter "Introduction" introduces the research background, significance, ideas, methods and innovations.Through combing and reviewing the relevant domestic literature, the current situation and progress of similar research in China are clarified.Chapter II "Historical carding and general cognition of the British and American academic circles on the research of the CPC’s anti-corruption struggle" follows the time sequence, from the general cognition of the British and American scholars on corruption and anti-corruption to the academic history overview of the British and American scholars on the research of the CPC’s anti-corruption struggle before the 18 th National Congress,to the assessment of the British and American academic circles on the situation of China’s anti-corruption struggle before the 18 th National Congress, and the research on corruption and anticorruption of the British and American scholars,And the academic history of China’s anti-corruption research in Britain and America.Specifically, this chapter examines the basic concepts and views of British and American scholars on corruption and anti-corruption from the aspects of the definition, causes, impact, and anti-corruption ideas and measures; Then, from the three historical periods before and after the founding of the People’s Republic of China to the reform and opening up,and from the reform and opening up to the first half of the 18 th National Congress of the People’s Republic of China, the representative works, research focuses and research paradigms of British and American scholars on China’s anti-corruption struggle were discussed. The third chapter,"Basic content of research on anti-corruption struggle since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" in the British and American academic circles, discusses the basic evaluation of anti-corruption struggle since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China by British and American scholars in detail, and summarizes it from three perspectives: necessity, pertinence and effectiveness.Specifically,British and American literature shows that corruption has led to mass discontent, damaged economic development, and thus seriously threatened the ruling status and legitimacy of the Party. It is imperative for China to fight against corruption and defeat. On this basis, the relevant research of British and American scholars focused on the high-pressure situation of China’s current anti-corruption struggle, institutional construction and moral construction, and thought that its ideas and measures were efficient and appropriate. As a result, they believed that the anti-corruption struggle since the 18 th National Congress of China has consolidated the ruling position of the Party, promoted China’s economic development, broken the barriers of vested interests, and achieved remarkable results. The fourth chapter,on the basis of the previous article, evaluates the relevant British and American studies from both positive and negative aspects.First of all,the relevant research in Britain and the United States has considerable research value and significance, especially its dissemination of the Party’s anti-corruption efforts, refutation of the erroneous argument of the anti-corruption struggle, and enhancement of the recognition of the ruling ability and position of the Communist Party of China from all walks of life at home and abroad. At the same time, the defects and deficiencies of the relevant British and American research can not be ignored,to some extent, they are quite serious. Some British and American scholars, limited by their inherent ideological prejudice and traditional Western political research paradigm, lack an objective analysis of China’s political model, equal academic exchanges on the path of Chinese style modernization, and profound insight into China’s new political party system. The hegemonism of the western academic paradigm that pervades some British and American studies should be thoroughly academic liquidation. It is worth noting that more and more British and American studies have come to realize the uniqueness of Chinese cases in political studies.China’s political paradigm is increasingly recognized by the British and American academic community. The conclusion part sublimates the previous content, and proposes to further study the value and practical application field of relevant British and American views, with a view to making theoretical and practical breakthroughs in scientific party building, building a good image of the party in the fight against corruption, and competing for the right to international academic discourse. |
